About This Tour

Munnar — the "Kashmir of South India" — is a breathtaking hill station nestled in the Western Ghats at 1,600 meters above sea level. This 5-day Munnar Tea Hills Escape takes you through endless emerald tea plantations, misty mountain peaks, cascading waterfalls, and the rich wildlife of Thekkady's Periyar Tiger Reserve. Munnar was once the summer resort of the British government in South India, and its colonial charm is still evident in the tea estates, bungalows, and churches that dot the landscape. The town is surrounded by three mountain streams — Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni, and Kundala — that merge to form the Muthirapuzha River. You will walk through tea gardens that stretch as far as the eye can see, spot the rare Nilgiri tahr (mountain goat) at Eravikulam National Park, and take a boat ride through the Periyar Lake where elephants, bison, and deer come to drink. Thekkady is also home to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, one of India's most important tiger reserves. This tour is perfect for nature lovers, photographers, and honeymooners looking for a serene escape from the heat and dust of the plains. Our handpicked resorts, expert guides, and comfortable transfers ensure a truly memorable Kerala hill holiday.
